The custody hearing of the Tinkune incident is still going on today

The custody hearing started on 20th Jestha after the statements of the defendants were completed in the Kathmandu District Court. The custody hearing is still going on for the 9th day today. The public prosecutors are opposing the custody hearing being held in the bench of Judge Dhruv Raj Karki.

Even after 18 days of the case being registered on 11 Jestha, no order has been issued. 39 defendants of the Tinkune incident are still in custody. The District Police Range, Kathmandu has completed the investigation and submitted the report to the District Government Attorney's Office, Kathmandu. After this, the Government Attorney's Office registered a case against 61 people in the Kathmandu District Court.

Four of them were sent to Bhaktapur as they were minors. A case was registered against them on 11 Jestha. Since then, the custody hearing is going on continuously in the bench of Judge Dhruv Raj Karki of Kathmandu District Court.

Eleven people have been charged with criminal harassment only. Those accused of criminal mischief have been released on bail. Eight people, including royalist movement commander Durga Prasad, have also been charged with dereliction of duty.
