Three people, including two from the same family, have died in a motorcycle accident in Sunsari. Two are seriously injured. A motorcycle accident occurred at Basbiti, Ramdhuni Municipality-7, on the Chatara-Kanchhi Chowk inner road section of Sunsari, between Province 1-02-056 Pa 5864 coming from Kalabanjar towards Kanchhi Chowk and Ko 33 Pa 9605 going from Kanchhi Chowk towards Kalabanjar.
The accident that took place at around 7:30 pm killed the driver of motorcycle number 5864, Inarchan Chaudhary, 34, of Ramdhuni-6, his son Pranish Chaudhary, 9, and the driver of motorcycle number 9605, Bindu Yadav, 50, of Inaruwa Municipality-6, Sunsari.
According to the police, they died on Saturday night while undergoing treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
Pratiksha Chaudhary, 32, of Ramdhuni-6, and Ramesh Chaudhary, 36, of Inaruwa-7, were seriously injured in the accident. They are undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
According to Sunsari Police Spokesperson DSP Yograj Khatiwada, the injured Pratiksha is the wife of the deceased Inarchan Chaudhary. Police said that the accident occurred because both motorcycles were speeding.
