Meeting of ruling party and opposition inconclusive

The functioning of the parliament session has been thrown into confusion as the ruling party and opposition parties have not been able to reach an agreement even today. A joint meeting of the leaders of the Congress, UML, Maoist Center, and Rashtriya Swatantra parti was held with Speaker Devraj Ghimire on the issue of removing the obstruction in parliament.

However, the meeting was inconclusive after the leaders of the ruling party did not agree to the demands of the opposition parties that the Home Minister should resign and the visit visa issue should be investigated.

After the discussion including the Speaker, the leaders of the Nepali Congress and the CPN-Maoist Center are in discussion. The Congress is led by Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka and the Maoist Center is led by Barshaman Pun.

Before the discussion with the ruling party, a separate meeting of the opposition parties was held and the five-point proposal put forward by the RSS was adopted. It was also decided to try to convince the ruling party on the same proposal. The issue of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak's resignation is prominently mentioned in the Rashtriya Swatantra parti proposal.
