Top Bahadur Malla, president of the Kopila Valley Society, said that this is the first time that a school from Nepal has been shortlisted in such a competition, which has increased the prestige of the entire Nepali education sector.
Speaking at a press conference, Malla said that the awards, which will be presented in five categories - community collaboration, environmental work, innovation, ability to overcome challenges and healthy lifestyle, will be selected by a global jury.
Voting for the vote has started today. All the winners will be announced in October 2025. Rajan Karki, principal of the school, said that it has been providing academic and environmental education to more than 450 underprivileged children. He is making environmental sustainability an integral part of education and conducting studies.
