Nine people trapped in floods rescued

Nine people trapped in the Lhende River on the Nepal-China border last night have been rescued safely.

Of those who were uncontacted, 22 are safe and sound in a safe place, while 16 others are uncontacted, said Assistant District Attorney Dhruba Prasad Adhikari.

The Home Minister's Secretariat has stated that a helicopter is ready to rescue the missing and trapped people. The helicopter could not fly in the skies of Rasuwa due to adverse weather, making the rescue difficult.

The helicopter, however, is said to be kept on standby in Trishuli, Nuwakot.
