Makawanpur police have arrested a pickup truck driver with marijuana. Police have arrested 32-year-old Ammar Bahadur Tamang of Dolakha Jiri Municipality-1 with about 106 kg of marijuana.
Police at the check post at Ratomate in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-15 stopped a pickup truck (Bap 01-030Cha 1046) heading from Hetauda to Kalaiya and found 105 kg 900 grams of marijuana.
The marijuana was hidden inside the pickup truck, packed in 9 plastic bags. There was no one else in the pickup truck except the driver. Police are preparing to take the pickup truck and the pickup truck driver Tamang under control and file a drug-related case, said Shyam Aryal, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
