Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the leader of the main opposition party Pushpa Kamal Dahal have discussed the issue of obstruction in parliament. Prime Minister Oli called the leader of the main opposition party Dahal and talked about removing the obstruction in parliament.
Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and Maoist MP Madhav Sapkota informed that Oli and Dahal discussed the obstruction in parliament over the phone. Oli had urged the parliament to remove the obstruction and conduct regular business.
Sapkota said that Prime Minister Oli's call came to Speaker Dahal while the opposition parties were meeting in the parliament building. 'The Prime Minister had demanded that the obstruction in the house be removed and the house move forward. The Speaker said that Home Minister Lekhak should resign and the Prime Minister should answer the questions raised in the house,' Sapkota said.
Dahal had said during his conversation with Prime Minister Oli that Home Minister Lekhak should resign to conduct a fair investigation into the visit visa issue.
"The Home Minister has insisted that Lekhak resign to allow a fair investigation into the visit visa issue. The opposition parties' meeting has also taken the same decision," Sapkota informed. Home Minister Lekhak, however, said that he has requested time to speak in Parliament.
