India will send Corona vaccine to Six countries today. India, who has always shown generosity towards neighboring countries, has once again set the example of the spirit of 'neighbor first' in the Corona crisis. India announced on Tuesday that Corona vaccine supplies will be started to six countries from today. This vaccine will be given as a grant-in-aid to these countries.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that on Today, Maldives will be first supplied with one lakh doses of Covishield prepared by Serum Institute of India (SII). The Maldives government firstly plans to vaccinate its health workers, other warriors and policemen who are leading the fight against the Corona epidemic.
Today, the Covishield vaccine will also be sent to Bhutan, Maldivsh, Nepal, Myanmar, Seychelles and Bangladesh. 2.0 million doses of Covishield will reach Bangladesh on Thursday. The Ministry of External Affairs is in constant touch with the Ministry of Health about how much additional vaccine India can remove for other countries.
Most of the countries that have approached India so far have shown interest in Covishield, developed by Oxford-AstraZeneca and developed by SII. Indigenous covicin is being introduced in India along with Covishield in the vaccination campaign. Covaxin has been developed by Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech.
